The Office of the Institute Bursar is responsible for the financial management and accounting functions of UNITE. The Institute Bursar oversees the collection, custody, and disbursement of all Institute funds; manages financial records and accounts; ensures timely preparation of financial statements and reports; coordinates internal and external audits; and ensures compliance with the Public Finance Management Act, the Accountants Act, and all applicable financial regulations. The office manages student fees, staff payroll, and institutional expenditure across headquarters and all campuses, ensuring that public funds are managed with integrity, efficiency, and full accountability. The Bursar works closely with the DVC (Finance and Administration) in budget preparation, implementation, and financial reporting to the Council.
